America's Next Top Model, Finale!

Bravo!
Ya que Jaslene gano "America's Next Top Model," vamos a escribir este blog en Espanol.

No?

Okay, we'll go back to English so we can all congratulate Miss Cha-Cha, Jaslene, for winning the modeling contract she's so desperately wanted all her life. Or at least since last season, when she made it to the final auditions but didn't get picked to move in to the house.

See, pretty girls, persistence really does pay off.

This year's finale was actually very strange.

Like how Renee got bounced even though her Cover Girl commercial and photo shoot were way, way better than Jaslene and Natasha's. But the judges said Renee looked old. And that her look isn't "new."

Plus, she's kind of mean. So.

So we have a very bizarre final two: the spicy Jaslene who sometimes looks like a drag queen. And the very kooky but loveable Natasha. As Twiggy says, both are "lovely" girls, plus both are very nontraditional, which we love.

After Renee processed the shocking news that she would not be winning the money and getting her family out of debt, she left with a surprising amount of dignity, even telling her rival Natasha, "You win this for the mommas."

The final showdown was at a Sass & Bide fashion show, where the models - all the models - had to walk out all hunchbacked like they were "early woman" who evolved into fabulous stick figures with crazy hair.

It's very difficult to analyze how they did during the "early woman" phase because it was all so very strange. Plus they were on a round, elevated runway that complicated matters.

But then, evolved Natasha came out in a mini skirt ensemble. And by the time she hit the middle of the runway, her skirt started sliding off. And then, it came off completely, but she just walked along acting like it was supposed to come off the entire time.

It was like she won the contest right then and there.

Unfortunately, she had some trouble getting dressed backstage and it seemed like she lost some steam while Jaslene just got fiercer and fiercer.

And the judges were split on who did the better job.

So back at judging panel, everyone is dressed really weird. Like what was up with Natasha's flapper hairstyle? And everyone had such heavy makeup on. At first you think they're coming straight from the fashion show, but this is not how they were styled for Sass & Bide.

We hear the same thing we heard at the last judging panel 20 minutes ago: Natasha is so sweet and fun loving and such a quick study. Jaslene has consistently been great and she's so glamorous.

For a minute, the judges seem to be leaning toward Natasha. So when they announce the winner is Jaslene, it's shocking on a few levels.

But yay! America's first Latina Next Top Model.
Orale, Jaslene! Felicidades!
